Invite someone to verify you and your birth certificate

Your birth certificate should have a registration number on it that is 10 digits long. If it is shorter than 10 digits then the certificate cannot be checked online. Either have your certificate renewed and try again or apply in person at an AA or NZPost store.

Your verifier cannot be a family member, spouse/partner or someone living at the same address as you.

They must also be 20 years of age or older and hold a current New Zealand Drivers Licence or New Zealand Passport that is no more than two years expired.

Once you have entered the details we will send your verifier an email containing your name and photo. They will have 5 days to verify you. Once this is done we will send you an email to complete the process. The photo you take today is the photo that will appear on the KiwiAccess Card.

If your verifier does not complete this step within 5 days, you will be refunded your application fee and will need to complete the application again.

Please ensure that your verifier knows your full legal name to ensure they are able to verify your identity correctly and promptly.

Unfortunately our digital platform is unable to verify marriage certificates. We ask that if you would like a Kiwi Access card in your married name that you please use the paper version of the application.

Sorry too many attempts today please try again tomorrow.
